Keighley, UK: Timothy Taylor’s brewery has taken delivery of two new temperature-controlled curtainsided trailers with a Carrier Transicold Vector 1550 fridges.
The Carrier Transicold Vector 1550 units are on 13.6-metre Lawrence David trailers, replacing older equivalent products in Timothy Taylor’s mixed commercial vehicle fleet. The trailers will will operate from the company’s brewery in Keighley, Yorkshire,.

Chris Weatherill, transport manager, Timothy Taylor’s said: “They keep our beers between 10°C and 12°C, allowing for the correct conditioning.”
Timothy Taylor’s will use its on-site solar panels to power the new Vector units overnight to maximise sustainability potential and streamline fleet operations.
Without cooling, high external temperatures in the summer can accelerate the second fermentation process and ruining the loads, whereas in the winter months the cold can create a chill haze on the beer affecting the clarity of the pint.
