Stafford, UK: Blue Cube has invested in seven all-electric Carrier Transicold HE19 temperature-controlled systems as part of its ongoing commitment to maximise operational efficiency and sustainability performance through reduced energy consumption.
Three of the systems have been fitted to new portable cold stores, with the remaining four replacing current systems mounted to existing Blue Cube cold storage units. All seven store a wide variety of palletised products, from food and drink products to highly temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
Alan Hunt, managing director, Blue Cube, says: “This investment highlights our commitment to delivering unparalleled reliability and energy efficiency with our portable cold storage solutions.
“These latest-generation Carrier units were selected because they enhance the quality of our services and provide significant benefits to our customers by ensuring their temperature-sensitive goods are treated with utmost precision and care.
Sustainability is enhanced further by the presence of a reduced refrigerant charge and a fully hermetic economised scroll compressor, which helps to significantly reduce the chances and environmental impacts of F Gas escapes.
“First class nationwide customer support and uptime is just as important to us as the product itself,” says Hunt. “We’re therefore utilising Carrier Transicold’s network of almost 200 mobile service engineers and extensive spare parts availability coupled with our telematics monitoring systems, which means we can be right alongside our customers regardless of where they’re sited in the UK.”
