Cold Chain Federation names bursary winners

Reading, UK: The Cold Chain Federation has awarded bursaries for its Emerging Leaders programme to Valentina Florina-Drescanu from Oakland International and Kale-Yves Chrouch from Lineage Logistics. Florina-Drescanu is Oakland’s operations manager, based in Bardon, while Chrouch is a depot support manager.
The two winners were announced at Cold Chain Live! which took place last week.
The Cold Chain Emerging Leaders programme, launched earlier this year, aims to cultivate crucial skills and experience needed by both current and future industry leaders. The bursary winners participate in a year-long programme that includes residential sessions, online workshops, and coaching modules, intended to prepare them to become influential leaders in the cold chain sector.

Florina-Drescanu said: “I am truly honoured to receive this recognition. The support from my colleagues and company since I joined Oakland has been invaluable, and I look forward to all opportunities this programme will provide to enhance my skills and contribute to our industry.”

Delivered in partnership with the Leadership Trust, the two bursary winners will have the chance to attend both the Cold Chain Federation Sustainability Summit and Parliamentary Reception which will enable them to network with Cold Chain leaders. They will also participate in the Cold Chain Live! 2025 event where they will hand over their award responsibilities to new winners.
