Melton Mowbray, UK: Toyota Material Handling UK is set to begin construction of a new Fleet Management Centre to support its UK rental and used equipment business. The new unit will be built on the Old Dalby Trading Estate, Melton Mowbray – the industrial park where Toyota’s existing Fleet Management Centre is located.
Building work is expected to take 18-months and, when complete, the centre will provide office space, storage and workshop facilities, where equipment will be refurbished before being made available to rent or buy.
Stuart Reilly, director – rental and used, Toyota Material Handling UK, said: “Our facilities at Old Dalby were originally built as a military storage depot at the start of World War Two and has served us well over the past 24-years.”
“Year-on-year growth has seen us operationally complete in excess of 12,000 trucks per annum and it’s time for an upgrade to support the largest rental fleet in the UK.
