Zabrze, Poland: Nagel-Group is expanding in Poland, with a new warehouse including cold store due to open in mid next year.
The new warehouse in Zabrze will cover more than 30,000sq metres with 9,500sq metres of cross-docking space will be constructed to support food logistics operations. The warehouse has a temperature control system ranging from 0 to 18 degrees C.
Located in the Silesian agglomeration, home to nearly two million inhabitants, the Zabrze site offers excellent connectivity to major European transport routes, the company says.
“With the new branch, we are not only strengthening our presence in Poland but also creating a key position for the movement of goods throughout Europe. In doing so, we are further developing our network and laying the foundation for even more efficient logistics solutions,” says Carsten Taucke, chief executive, Nagel-Group.
The warehouse has a 2,500 kWp photovoltaic system installed on the roof will supply a rage part of the sites needs. Energy-efficient cooling and LED lighting will further contribute to reduced power consumption.
