CubeCold, a leading pan-European cold storage and logistics company focused on comprehensive end-to-end temperature-controlled solutions across the continent, announced the naming of three executive roles instrumental in driving the company’s growth and transformation strategies. Dave Moore will serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Elizabeth (Liz) Gildea as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Paul Jukes as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Through a series of acquisitions and organic growth over the last 36 months, CubeCold has grown from a new entrant in the European Cold Chain segment to become one of the largest and fastest growing cold storage groups in Europe with operations across the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and the UK. It was formed in 2022 with the sponsorship of I Squared Capital, a leading global independent infrastructure investor.
Dave Moore, the new CEO, brings over 35 years of experience in the temperature controlled and logistics industry. His visionary leadership, passion for delighting customers, and strategic acumen have been instrumental in driving growth and innovation in his previous roles. “I am honored to join CubeCold and look forward to immediately contributing to leading the company into its next phase of growth and success. Being able to work together again with Paul and Liz who are former colleagues from AGRO Merchants (which was sold to Americold in 2020) is also a great pleasure and I know that we will seamlessly come together to lead CubeCold.” said Moore.
Liz Gildea, appointed as CFO, has a robust background in financial transformation and strategic planning. With her extensive experience in buy and build, value creation and profitable growth, she is well-equipped to oversee CubeCold’s financial operations and drive fiscal excellence. “I am excited to join CubeCold and contribute to its financial growth and strategic initiatives.” stated Gildea.
Paul Jukes, the new COO, has a proven track record in operational excellence and driving efficiency. His expertise in optimizing infrastructure and driving a strong performance driven culture will be crucial in maximizing CubeCold’s operations and enhancing overall performance. “I am thrilled to be part of CubeCold, and I am committed to operational excellence and innovation.” said Jukes.
“We are delighted to welcome this proven, highly experienced, and talented team to lead CubeCold.” said Hardip Rai, Executive Chairman of CubeCold. “CubeCold has already grown in a short period to become an important player in the European cold storage sector, but we believe that there is significant further growth to be captured, and we are confident that Dave, together with Paul and Liz can achieve the ambitions that we have for CubeCold, its customers, and all its employees. With Dave coming on board, I will step back into a non-executive role.”
