TEKTA launches ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative with Rowans Hospice

Tekta are a service led, family run business with 25 years’ experience in delivering
high performance doorways for controlled environments. From specialist projects
with architects and contractors to lifelong reliability with comprehensive service
packages, Tekta believe every doorway matters.

This December, Tekta are proud to announce their new “Charity of the Year”
initiative. Each year Tekta will select a charity from a pool of employee
nominations. They will then spend the next 12 months raising awareness, funds and
giving back in other meaningful ways.

For 2026, Tekta will be supporting Rowans Hospice. A local, deeply valued charity
providing compassionate end-of-life and palliative care throughout South-East
Hampshire.

Rowans Hospice stands out for the incredible support they offer: free inpatient and community care, access to their Living Well Centre, day-therapy services, spiritual
and psychological support, bereavement counselling, and home-based care.
Whether people turn to them in the hospice itself or receive care at home, Rowans
Hospice cares not only for patients but also for their families, offering muchneeded
comfort, dignity and compassion during difficult times.

With 78% of Rowans’ funding coming from donations, fundraising, legacies and
their charity shops, community support is essential to their mission. For Tekta,
many of whose team members have personal connections to the hospice, choosing
Rowans felt like a natural and heartfelt decision.

Over the coming year, Tekta will launch a variety of fundraising activities and
community initiatives to support Rowans Hospice. They plan to take on team
challenges, organise bake-offs, fundraising events and donation drives all aimed at raising both awareness and financial support.
