Temperature controlled storage and distribution solutions specialist JS Davidson has reported unprecedented growth during the recent peak period, with each of the company’s three sites in Bourne, Spalding and Peterborough recording a 100% increase in volumes.
Chilled storage across its portfolio of sites is now operating at around 90% capacity, while ambient storage levels are running between 80–90%, highlighting the exceptional demand currently being seen across the business.
Much of this growth has been driven by JS Davidson’s ability to provide a true end-to-end logistics solution, combined with the company’s long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, flexible services tailored to individual customer requirements.
An award-winning business with over 30 years’ experience, JS Davidson has continued to invest in infrastructure, technology and people to support its customers. The company provides a full range of supply chain solutions across ambient, chilled and frozen storage, including value-added services such as blast freezing and tempering, coupled with nationwide distribution.
John Davidson, Managing Director of JS Davidson, said that demand for warehouse space is now at an all-time high, driven by the increasing consumer demand for frozen and chilled products.
He commented: “The frozen and chilled market is seeing huge growth. Customers are therefore increasingly becoming attracted to our ability to manage the full supply chain under one roof, while flexing operations to suit changing volumes, product mixes and delivery requirements.
“This flexibility is vital in today’s marketplace, as retailers and wholesalers are under constant pressure to react quickly to shifting consumer demands, and we look forward to further supporting our customers to ensure they keep pace with ever-changing market conditions.”
At the same time, ongoing geopolitical turbulence continues to disrupt global supply chains, creating volatility that businesses must be able to manage at short notice. As such, agility, resilience and trusted logistics partners are now essential for companies looking to maintain service levels and ensure supply chains remain robust.
The strong performance across all three sites reflects wider industry trends, with the temperature-controlled logistics sector experiencing sustained growth as food producers, manufacturers and retailers seek reliable capacity, greater visibility and adaptable solutions.
JS Davidson’s continued investment in multi-temperature facilities, advanced warehouse management systems and skilled operational teams has positioned the business to support customers through peak periods and beyond.
With capacity running at high utilisation levels and interest continuing to grow, JS Davidson remains focused on supporting customers through flexible, scalable solutions that meet the demands of an increasingly complex and fast-moving supply chain environment, while keeping its sights firmly set on delivering the high-quality service for which the business is renowned.
