Judith Evans of Refrigeration Developments and Testing and London South Bank University has been recognised for her contributions to the industry with the J&E Hall International Gold Medal.
The J&E Hall International Gold Medal recognises the most noteworthy practical contribution to innovation in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology. The award was one of a number of annual awards announced at tonight’s Institute of Refrigeration dinner in London.
Evans received the medal for her contribution to energy and carbon reduction, by optimising refrigeration performance throughout the food cold chain. Her citation recognised her work which has consistently combined academic excellence with practical application, addressing real-world challenges in energy use, carbon reduction, food safety, and food quality.
