Constellation Cold Logistics enters the Polish market with strategic acquisition of Wimar Coldstore

Constellation Cold Logistics (“Constellation”), a leading provider of cold-storage and temperature-controlled logistics, today announced that it has acquired Wimar Coldstore in Poland.

This marks Constellation’s entry into the Polish market, representing an important milestone in the wider European growth strategy. Through this acquisition, Constellation strengthens its leadership position across Europe, adding 25,000 pallet positions of temperature-controlled capacity.

Wimar Coldstore operates a temperature-controlled storage facility south of Warsaw, in Radwanków Szlachecki, Poland, providing Constellation with a strategically located platform for serving customers across the Polish and wider Central and Eastern European cold-chain market.

Founded in 1990, Wimar Coldstore has grown from a business supporting Poland’s domestic fruit-processing industry into a specialist provider of frozen fruit processing, cold storage, and temperature-controlled logistics services. It now serves Polish and international customers and has invested in cold storage infrastructure and freezing capabilities that enable it to handle a broad range of frozen fruit, meat, bakery, and other food products.

Carlos Rodriguez, CEO, Constellation, commented“We are thrilled to welcome Wimar Coldstore to the Constellation family. Their expertise in frozen food processing, temperature-controlled storage, and export-focused operations is a significant step forward in our European growth strategy. This transaction gives Constellation an entry point into the important Polish market, makes Poland the tenth country in our network, and further enhances our ability to serve customers across Central and Eastern Europe.”

Marek Kobza, CEO, Wimar Coldstore, added: “We are delighted to join the Constellation family. The combination of Wimar Coldstore’s local expertise and customer relationships with Constellation’s European reach creates exciting opportunities for future growth, including near-term expansion plans supported by available land at the site to meet growing customer demand”.

As a leading independent provider of temperature-controlled warehousing and cold chain logistics in Europe, Constellation operates across ten countries and offers more than one million pallet positions. The group combines strong local expertise with the scale and capabilities of a pan-European network, enabling it to support customers closely and effectively in addressing their operational challenges.

This transaction reflects Constellation’s continued commitment to building a unified, market-leading European cold chain logistics network while preserving the agility and local focus of teams deeply rooted in their respective markets.

By bringing together their expertise, Constellation and Wimar Coldstore will continue to develop their network, strengthen their service capabilities and create sustainable value for customers, employees and partners across the entire supply chain.
