Three senior figures from construction specialist Cold Clad are preparing to take on one of the world’s most recognised trekking challenges this November, with a fundraising goal of £5,000 for BBC Children in Need.
Founder Jon Pitman, Managing Director Tony Harrold and Contracts Director Gareth Pitman will travel to Nepal from 8–22 November 2026 to trek to Everest Base Camp. The journey will take them through challenging mountain terrain and high altitudes, making for a demanding experience that will test their endurance and determination.
While reaching Base Camp will be a significant personal achievement, the trio are taking on the challenge with a wider purpose. They hope to raise £5,000 to support BBC Children in Need and its work helping children and young people across the UK.
The team hopes their challenge will bring people together in support of a cause that makes a real difference to young lives. Whether following their journey or making a donation, every bit of support is welcome.
