Coventry, UK: AAH Pharmaceuticals has successfully delivered over a third of the 75 million Covid-18 vaccines to date in the UK.
The company, working in partnership with NHS England, has distributed the vaccines since December 2020. AAH drivers have covered over 395,000 miles, delivering 800,000 – 1.5 million vaccines to hospitals, doctors’ surgeries and vaccination centres.
Toby Anderson, chief executive of McKesson UK, parent company of AAH, said: “Each one of our delivery drivers, warehouse operatives and specialist logistics colleagues have gone above and beyond to make sure these vaccines reached those who needed them most. Between the NHS and its partners, this has been a fantastic team effort, involving hard work, determination and sheer grit.
“We will continue to utilise our expertise and capability in storing, transporting, and distributing medicines to support the UK’s efforts to vaccinate everyone in the UK in the coming months.”
