Willenhall, West Midlands, UK: AF Blakemore & Son is using new Scania P series rigids for its London operations
. With enforcement of the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) in Greater London starting in March 2021, AF Blakemore has taken on the P-cabs for its city distribution.
The family-owned retailer has taken delivery of five P410 4×2 tractors, as well as 11 P250 4×2 rigids with Gray and Adams refrigerated bodies along with a P320 6×2 refrigerated rigid.
“The new Scania P-cab vehicles are perfect for the company’s operation, which is mainly within towns and cities, giving us the visibility we need,” said Dave Higgs, logistics compliance manager, AF Blakemore.
“Support from Keltruck keeps our vehicles compliant and serviced, giving peace of mind.” A.F Blakemore has 70 Scania vehicles in its fleet, which are all maintained by Keltruck at its Willenhall and Cardiff locations.
