Zaragoza, Spain: Bailón group has added four new Schmitz Cargobull refrigerated trailers to its fleet, taking the total to 27.
The group is the largest exporter of eggs in Spain and sells 80% of its production abroad.
Bailón opted for vehicles with Executive Plus equipment including Schmitz fridge and its telematic package, TrailerConnect. Schmitz also provides service and maintenance.
The telematics enables the group to have “full control over the EBS data, the position and temperature of the vehicle, the state of the diesel tank, tyre pressure, unauthorised door opening and coupling status”.
“The data we receive through the telematics system is very valuable, and even more so, in this stage of uncertainty as a result of Covid-19.
“Receiving information related to the state of the load or vehicle in real time, at any time of day, allows us to make sound decisions, have control of spending and be more competitive, “says Félix Bailón, director.
