Blast conditioner for phase change material packs

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US: World Courier has a new blast conditioner for phase-change material packs.

The conditioner reduces the time taken to make phase-change material packs ready to use for frozen (-20 °C) and refrigerated (2 – 8 °C) temperature ranges packaging.

The time to reach frozen temperature range is down from 72 hours to about 6 to 8 hours with the time for 2 – 8 °C packs down from 48 hours to 3 to 4 hours.

“As the pharmaceutical cold chain market experiences tremendous growth, we continue to develop solutions that enable us to support our partners’ unique needs and the growing demand for temperature-controlled logistics,” said Alex Vale, director of Cold Chain Packaging at World Courier.

“This solution, which will be installed at facilities across our global network, will enable our teams to operate more efficiently, accelerating the time it takes us to prepare shipments of temperature sensitive products.”

World Courier has installed Blast Conditioners at 11 sites in network, including a transport office in Japan. The Asia Pacific region represents the fastest-growing market for healthcare cold chain logistics services and is expected to grow some 4.87% between 2022 and 2027.

World Courier plans to install blast conditioners at 10 additional sites by early next year.
