Brakes Scotland, a leading distributor of high-quality food products to the Scottish foodservice industry, is incredibly proud to have been recognised for its outstanding achievements at the 2025 Scottish Wholesale Association Achievers Awards including Best Delivered Operation in Foodservice.
The annual ceremony highlights excellence across the wholesale sector, and this year, Brakes Scotland was honoured with multiple awards, showcasing the dedication and expertise of the team.
The biggest win of the night of Best Delivered Operation – Foodservice, is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Newhouse team. Following a competitive judging process, including a tiebreaker round, the team were thrilled to take home this prestigious award.
One of the standout achievements of the evening was Matt Farmer, Commercial Development Co-ordinator, winning Rising Star of Wholesale. Matt and his fellow Commercial Development Co-ordinator, Ewan Harvie, were also joint runners-up in the Local Wholesale Food Champion award. Both have played a vital role in expanding our Scottish product range, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving success over the past 18 months.
Brakes Scotland were also Highly Commended in the Best Innovation category for the successful implementation of new technology at Newhouse. This recognition reflects the commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
