Buffaload Logistics Announces Major Acquisition of Temples Transport

Buffaload Logistics has today announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Temples Transport Ltd., signalling a significant strategic partnership within the UK logistics sector. The move comes as Temples Transport, under the leadership of Managing Director Marcus Drury, has seen substantial growth.

Drury, who acquired Temples Transport in December 2019, has steered the company towards notable success, culminating in a recent relocation to a new, expansive five-acre site in December 2024. This move has enabled the company to pursue significant expansion and capitalise on new business opportunities.

The partnership with Buffaload Logistics is set to bolster Temples Transport’s sustainability initiatives, with a key focus on reducing CO2e emissions and aiding customers in minimising their environmental footprint.

“As we embark on the next stage of our growth, we’re excited to strengthen Temples Transport in partnership with Buffaload,” stated Marcus Drury, who will remain at the helm as Managing Director. “Having worked alongside Ross, Julie and the Buffaload team, I’ve seen first hand their unwavering commitment to sustainability. We want to travel with them on their journey to being the greenest temperature-controlled logistics network in the UK.”

Julie Feltwell, Managing Director of Buffaload Logistics, expressed her enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition is an exciting step for Buffaload. Temples Transport is a perfect fit with our existing network and affords opportunities for greater synergies, adding value to both existing and prospective customers alike.”

The acquisition is expected to create significant opportunities for both companies, strengthening their positions within the UK’s temperature-controlled logistics market, and driving forward their shared sustainability goals.
