London, UK: Carnevale, which distributes ambient, fresh, and frozen, foods from Italy, has added four 7.2-tonne Dailies to its 84 UK vehicle fleet. Supplied on contract hire from Dawson Group, the 7.2-tonne Dailies have Carrier Xarios 6 fridges and single compartment Paneltex bodies, allowing a 3.1-tonne payload with a Ratcliff Palfinger tuck-away tail-lift.
The company operates 3.5, 7.2, and 26-tonne vehicles from six depots using an inhouse multi-temperature fleet that includes Its new 180bhp Dailies: all Euro 6/CAZ-compliant vehicles.
Ben Ayrton, transport manager, Carnevale, said the move to contract hire allowed for vehicles to be trialled as well as Dawsongroup’s service and maintenance provision. “We are still in the infancy of the contract, but the vehicles are out working and service experience so far has been very responsive when needed. The vehicles provided by Dawsongroup were all customised to our specific business needs which is making a huge difference.” he said.
