Syracuse, NY, US: Carrier Transicold PrimeLine containers are the first container refrigeration system with a UL Environment validation for recyclability.
PrimeLine containers are 93% recyclable, validated by UL Environment using its Environmental Claims Validation Procedure 2789.

PrimeLine units are made almost entirely of recyclable materials, which consist of primarily metals and some plastics. Carrier Transicold closely monitors new parts or processes introduced to ensure they maintain or improve the recyclability rate of the PrimeLineunit. PrimeLine units can be found listed within UL Environment’s Sustainable Product Database, an online resource for specifiers and purchasers. UL Environment is part of UL (Underwriters Laboratories), a global safety science company.
Introduced four years ago, there are more than 100,000 PrimeLine units in service globally. The PrimeLine unit is designed to significantly reduce on-board power generation requirements, helping shipping lines save fuel used in the generation of electricity. This, in turn, helps hold down operating costs and reduce emissions related to power generation. The PrimeLine unit reduces carbon emissions by 28% compared to previous units.
