Chereau commits to hydrogen power

Vannes, France: Trailer maker Chereau has committed to hydrogen to power fridges on its latest trailers.

Two trailers have been made and will be tested for a year with operators in real conditions this year.

Chereau produced the world’s first hydrogen-powered trailer in 2019. The latest version uses a single, higher-powered fuel cell to power a battery pack that can be recharged from a 380 volt socket.

“This unique solution provides the autonomy needed for both distribution and long-distance activity,” Chereau said in a statement.

Chereau is also working with hydrogen suppliers and other involved in projects to set up hydrogen stations.
