Avranches, France: Chereau has two hydrogen-powered refrigerated trailers on test with operators Stef and Delanchy.
The trial, which will last for a year, sees the trailers in real service operation. The trailers will be based at the hydrogen station of Vannes (Hygo project), as soon as it is fully operational.
Chereau believes hydrogen is a “very interesting energy vector for refrigerated semi-trailer applications”.
Chereau will initially offer its customers battery solutions with or without energy recovery axles and with or without solar panels and, in a second phase, hydrogen semi-trailers to cover applications for which battery versions would not be sufficient.
