Climarite apprentices reach award finals

London, UK: Two apprentices at Climarite Refrigeration have reached the final stages in the RAC Cooling Industry Awards.

Mick Brady from Bootle and Alex Forkings from Southport beat fierce competition to become shortlisted in the RAC Cooling Industry Awards in the Student of the Year category, as well as the Be Inspired Business Awards for Apprentice Team of the Year.

The duo were nominated by their employer and tutors at City of Liverpool College, where both apprentices are studying a three-year part-time course in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps. Brady and Forkings are employed under full-time contract at Climarite Refrigeration.

For each of these prestigious awards the apprentices endured three separate stages including written applications, video and in-person interviews. Each of the award organisers praised the applicants for reaching the final stages, especially given the high number and calibre of entrants this year.

Both apprentices have reached the final round in the BIBAs, with Alex reaching the final in the RAC Cooling Industry awards.
