Coventry, UK: The Cold Chain Federation has launched the Cold Chain Sustainability Awards to recognise and celebrate the businesses, innovations and individuals driving sustainability in the UK cold storage and temperature-controlled distribution industry.
Applicants should use the relevant category’s short online form by the deadline of 31 January 2023.
Five award categories are open for entries, the other five are by invitation, based on performance under the Climate Change Agreement for cold storage.

The categories open for entries are:
- Sustainable Cold Storage Operator 2023
- Sustainable Cold Chain Transport Operator 2023
- Cold Chain Climate Champion 2023
- Innovation of the Year: Transport
- Innovation of the Year: Cold Storage
The awards presentation will be held on the afternoon of the Cold Chain Federation’s Cold Chain Climate Summit at the Slate, Warwick Conferences on 15 March.
The awards will celebrate cold stores, temperature-controlled transport operators and innovators who have met or exceeded their sustainability targets, delivered a game-changing technology or driven change within their organization, the federation says.
