Constellation makes key appointments

London, UK: Constellation Cold Logistics has appointed Xavier Haspeslagh as chairman. It has also appointed Geert Liefhooghe as managing director of Stockhabo – Constellation’s subsidiary in Belgium and France.

Haspeslagh was the founder and the managing director of Stockhabo. In this new role Xavier will work with the wider Constellation team on strategy and growth across Europe.

Liefhooghe begins his role today (1 June 2023). He was formerly managing director of DFDS Belgium, He brings almost 30 years of logistics experience and has a strong track record of leading successful teams and driving growth. His leadership will help Stockhabo and Constellation’s growth plans over the coming years in both Belgium and France, says the company.

Haspeslagh expressed his confidence in Liefhooghe’s ability to lead Stockhabo. “Having known Geert for many years, I am confident he is the right person to hand over the leadership of the business to. Geert has the expertise, vision, and leadership skills to take Stockhabo and Constellation to the next phase.”

Constellation is Europe’s leading independent cold storage and logistics provider with around 600,000 pallet positions of temperature-controlled capacity and a presence in six European countries.

Constellation is a portfolio company of Arcus Infrastructure Partners, an independent fund manager with significant experience in European infrastructure investments.
