Stoneleigh, UK: Hultsteins is showing its Ecogen Cost Saver fitted to a Buffaload Volvo LNG gas tractor unit at this year’s Road Transport Expo 2023.
Ecogen is an electric-hydraulic drive system that transforms diesel fridge units into electric operation when coupled to the tractor using an engine PTO to generate electricity to run the fridge. There will be a live demonstration of the Ecogen running on a liquid natural gas tractor coupled to a G&A double-deck trailer (pictured above).
Also at the show are CameraMatics, Dawsongroup, Fastview360, Geotab, Krone, and Schmitz Cargobull. Krone is showing two examples from its trailer range as well as its telematics systems for truck and trailer monitoring.
