CubeCold Group Opens Advanced Multi-Temperature Facility in Theale, Berkshire

CubeCold, a leading European provider of cold storage and logistics solutions, today announces the official opening of its state-of-the-art multi-temperature cold storage facility in Theale, Berkshire, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s strategic expansion across the UK. The development comes just three years after Cube Cold’s acquisition of Pulleyn Transport and reinforces its commitment to delivering high-performance, sustainable cold chain solutions across Europe. With this opening, CubeCold now manages a portfolio of over 700,000 pallet spaces across the Benelux, UK, Spain, Italy, and France and continues to execute an active pipeline of greenfield developments and strategic acquisitions across key European logistics corridors.

Strategically positioned with direct access to the UK motorway network, key southern ports, and London Heathrow Airport’s cargo hub, the Theale facility significantly enhances CubeCold’s logistics capabilities. The site provides approximately 23,000 multi-temperature pallet positions, ranging from -30°C and above alongside integrated blast freezing capacity, enabling the Group to support growing demand across pharmaceuticals, food, and high-value specialist sectors ensuring product integrity is maintained at every stage of handling.

Ryan Pulleyn, Managing Director, commented that the new facility “represents a major step forward in our ability to scale operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and flexibility and positions us to capture growing demand across the UK market,”

The facility further strengthens CubeCold’s end-to-end logistics platform, combining storage, processing, dispatch, transport, and international handling services within a single, integrated solution supported by its wider European network. This expansion positions the Group to respond efficiently to increasing complexity in temperature-controlled supply chains.

Designed with sustainability and resilience at its core, the Theale site incorporates solar energy generation, voltage optimisation, and a smart energy management system that aligns consumption with periods of renewable energy availability. Continuous temperature monitoring and robust backup power infrastructure ensure consistent product integrity and operational continuity.
Paul Jukes, Chief Operational Officer, added: “This investment strengthens our infrastructure and ensures we are well-positioned to support our customers with reliable, scalable solutions as market demand continues to grow.”
