London, UK: Great Bear Distribution and Fowler Welch, both owned by the Culina group, have been included in the top 30 Logistics Service Providers for 2021, published by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
Great Bear Distribution ranked number four in the list while Fowler Welch was placed at 26. Other companies on the list offering temperature-controlled services include Turners (Soham) (11), Kuehne+Nagel (8), Wincanton (7) and XPO Supply Chain (3).
The CILT list was formed by assessing a range of key criteria, annual reports and evaluating data such as financials, performance, professional accreditation, the gender pay gap and human resource factors.
Kevin Richardson, chief executive at CILT (UK), said: “The last year has been a year like no other for the logistics sector, and many businesses stepped up in a big way. The organisations recognised in this list played a critical role in keeping the economy going throughout one of the most challenging years on record.”
Culina took over Great Bear Distribution in March 2016. It then bought Fowler Welch from the Dart Group in June 2020.
