Curd & Cure takes two refrigerated vans from CoolKit

Staplehurst, Kent, UK: Food wholesaler Curd & Cure turned to CoolKit during the Covid-19 pandemic for more refrigerated vehicles to fulfill increasing orders from retailers for staples such as flour and eggs.

The company was forced to diversify after its business lost 20% of its customers overnight due to the closure of restaurants, bars and cafes.

As a result of growing orders, Curd & Cure approached CoolKit for the fast delivery of two refrigerated vans. CoolKit converted two of its stock vehicles and assisted with both finance and livery to ensure a smooth conversion and delivery service. Cure & Cure had previously ordered four vans from CoolKit.

CoolKit sales and marketing director Glenn McCulley said: “We recognise how vital food and drink supplies are at this time and knew how important it was for Curd & Cure to expand their fleet quickly to meet increased demand.”

The vans were converted, liveried and delivered to site within four weeks.

Stuart Grant, from Curd & Cure, said: “CoolKit, PMD Business Finance and MediaFleet really did employ incredible teamwork to get the vehicles to us as soon as possible and made it a stress-free process. We have since been able to add nine new delivery slots to our schedule, have seen a turnover increase of 60% and employed new staff to fulfil and deliver our orders.”
