Daikin shows new electric refrigeration lineup

Lyon, France: Daikin is showing its van, truck, and trailer electric and plug-in hybrid refrigeration at Solutrans, France, next week. Daikin’s latest development is its new trailer fridge that includes Daikin’s telematics.

Highlights on the Daikin stand are:

  • Exigo Trailer Refrigeration Unit went into mass production earlier in 2023 and is built on an electric architecture with Daikin inverter technology for best-in-class electric efficiency. This marks Daikin’s entry into road transport refrigeration and is a first step towards an all-electric, zero-emission future.
  • Exigo Plug-in Hybrid is currently in development, in parallel to the launch of the trailer refrigeration unit. Already optimized to run on electric power, Exigo will work seamlessly with Daikin’s new battery pack, switching between the engine and battery to reduce emissions, with the engine always there to ensure cold chain integrity.
  • Daikin Telematics is a new connectivity platform that will be included as standard with Exigo, benefiting from Daikin’s extensive EMEA service network, and a full suite of service offerings. On display for the first time, a live demo workstation will let visitors explore all features and how to use them.
  • Full line-up of electric and conventional van and truck refrigeration units including the Zanotti portfolio with Invisible and Zero van units both available as battery-electric and direct-drive, SFZ light truck drive-drive and Uno engine-powered truck units.

Solutrans takes place in Lyon, France, 21- 25 November.
