DP World and RSA open logistics hub in Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates:  RSA Cold Chain has signed a lease with DP World to develop a new cold store logistics hub.  RSA Cold Chain is a joint venture of Dubai-based supply chain company, RSA Global and Americold, which is based in Atlanta, US.

This new logistics hub, 40,000 multi-temperature pallet positions, will be designed, built, and operated by RSA Cold Chain on a 100,000sq metre site in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. Construction is set to begin in early 2024 with completion expected by the first quarter of 2025.

The development will combine RSA Cold Chain’s temperature-controlled infrastructure and with DP World’s port facilities. Subsequent phases of development for RSA Cold Chain will nearly double its network capacity to 70,000 pallet positions.

In 2022, DP World and Americold signed an agreement to invest in more resilient, efficient, and sustainable global food supply chain. The combination of Americold’s global temperature-controlled infrastructure and strategic customer relationships with DP World’s global port infrastructure and end-to-end logistics solutions will result in unprecedented optimisation of global food flows, the companies said.
