Italy’s ministry of environment and energy security has reported a number of recent fines and seizures for alleged violations of the F-gas regulations.
This latest crackdown by the carabinieri’s national inspection and control unit (NIPAAF) has included 66 administrative fines, 25 seizures of refrigerant gas, and ten individuals reported to the authorities for alleged crimes related to the illegal management of substances potentially harmful to the environment:
The operation was part of the activities planned by the ministry’s coordination committee on F-gas controls.
The violations, found in the more than two hundred inspections carried out, specifically concern irregularities in gas traceability, document deficiencies, and failure to comply with certification and incorrect labelling requirements.
