Fowler Welch moves to new Kent site

Aylesford, Kent: Fowler Welch is moving to Panattoni Park in Aylesford, Kent.

Panattoni developed the 90-acre property close to Junction 4 of the M20, on the former Reed papermill site.

Alex Mitchell at Panattoni said: “The handing over of the three buildings marks another major milestone for our Aylesford development. We are determined to deliver on our promise to build a logistics and distribution facility that is a benchmark for sustainability and a home for thousands of new jobs for Kent.”

DHL and Marley have also taken part of the new development.

Fowler Welch will occupy a 9,000sq metre site that includes a 1.5MVA photovoltaic array covering the roof. The peak electrical output from the solar panels equals the incoming supply, which means Fowler Welch will be able to operate from the power generated onsite. The Fowler Welch site has a Breeam rating of Excellent and an EPC rating of A+.

The three latest sites follow the handover in September last year of the first site to Evri.
