FreezPak Logistics plans cold store network in US

Jacksonville, Florida, US: FreezPak Logistics, together with BG Capital, are to build a $120m temperature-controlled warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida.

The move is part of plans to build a network of cold storage distribution centres across the country.

The new partnership is developing the 272,400sq ft warehouse on a site near the JaxPort Talleyrand and Dames Point marine terminals.

FreezPak Jacksonville will have 56,000 pallet positions in a 211,517sq ft freezer space and a 40,480sq ft cooler dock. Blast freezing, cross docking, transport, repacking and overseas container plug in, will all be offered at the site.

FreezPak’s robotic division plans on installing 42 robots at the warehouse.
