Jebel Ali South, Dubai: Global forwarder and logistics service provider Geodis Wilson is opening an 8,500 square metre distribution centre with temperature controlled warehousing in Jebel Ali South within the free zone of Dubai.
“The demand for contract logistics is very high,” says Sascha Geiken, managing director for Geodis Wilson UAE. “Most companies trading via, or in the Middle East, need a hub solution for their business and Dubai is undoubtedly the regional choice, with very good onward connections.”
Geodis Wilson has spent around US$1.5 million on the Jebel Ali distribution centre. It will provide supply chain services including warehousing, inventory, labelling, bar-coding, vendor management as well as domestic and cross border distribution.
