Fraserburgh, Scotland: Gray & Adams is a finalist in the Make UK Manufacturing Awards in the category of Developing Young Talent.
The Make UK Awards celebrate manufacturing excellence in the UK in a multitude of industries with past winners including Sony UK, BAE Systems and Kimberly-Clark.
Gray & Adams award entry is based on the business’s apprenticeship programme. The majority of the recruits are based at its Fraserburgh headquarters.
As many as 55 young people have qualified at Fraserburgh in a single year, which provides a great sense of community and opportunity for economic stability for the young people in this region of Scotland.

Gray & Adams runs similar apprenticeship schemes at Doncaster, Dunfermline and Belfast, with the highest number of young people based at Fraserburgh Some of the disciplines available include hydraulic, mechanical or refrigeration engineering, joinery, welding, spray painting and coach building.
