Harlech Foodservice installs Rack Collapse Prevention’s safety system

Criccieth, Gwynedd, Wales: Welsh food wholesaler Harlech Foodservice has fitted its Gwynedd frozen store with Rack Collapse Prevention’s safety system.

Harlech Foodservice’s head of operations, Ian Evans, said: “The recent installation of the Rack Collapse Prevention system in our Gwynedd frozen store is a critical development in our commitment to creating a secure work environment. This state-of-the-art safety system is specifically designed to prevent accidents and ensure that our team can work with confidence, knowing that their safety is our top priority.

“By integrating such advanced safety measures, we not only enhance our operational efficiency but also reaffirm our dedication to the health and safety of every member of our team.”

Warehouse racking can be affected by various factors over time, such as vehicle traffic and pallet handling.  Serious operational problems can be created should an impact event take place. Rack Collapse Prevention removes this risk. Installation of the racking safety system also delivers several additional benefits including reduced business insurance as it is regarded as a positive risk factor.

Rack Collapse Prevention managing director Craig Attwell said: “Our safety system provides a safer working environment for employees whilst safeguarding against potential stock loss and the subsequent business disruption should racking fail.

“Installing our safety system into Harlech Foodservice’s 6m 300-rack frozen store took just five-days and was completed during normal working hours.

“Our safety system, which can withstand earthquakes, is now protecting Harlech Foodservice and their staff in a more secure workplace. Our system is fitted into warehouses and storage facilities throughout the UK, Europe, Ireland, and the Western Hemisphere.”

Harlech Foodservice supplies services to the catering industry throughout Wales, the North West and the Midlands.
