Iceland to build its largest distribution centre in Warrington

Warrington, UK: Iceland is building a £80m distribution centre in Warrington. The building stage of the 550sq ft site is finished ready for the internal fit-out. The warehouse is due to open in late 2024, according to an article in the Warrington Guardian.

This will be Iceland’s largest distribution centre – supplying more than 350 Iceland and Iceland Food Warehouse stores in Wales and Birmingham.

All employees from the current Woolston warehouse will transfer to the new depot which is based in the Omega business park.

Tarsem Dhaliwal, group managing director at Iceland Foods, said: “We are excited to be bringing our biggest depot yet to Warrington. It will be a fantastic addition to the Iceland supply chain.”
