ISD acquire Rob White as Senior Project Manager

Coldstore construction experts ISD Solutions have secured the services of experienced project manager Rob White to look after work in their Special Projects division.

Rob brings some 30 years of experience in the coldstore industry to his new role at the Gloucester-based industry leaders.

He we will work divisional manager Adam Teague to oversee the construction of ISD’s major and complex projects, such as large coldstores and single envelope buildings.

“It feels refreshing to be here,” Rob said. “I’ve been aware of ISD for many years and the company has an excellent reputation in the industry. I’m looking forward to learning the company systems and managing some projects.

“Although the construction methods are largely the same, the size and scale of the work will be a different animal from what I’m used to. So it’s going to be a matter of applying best methodical practice to these larger projects, making sure the client’s needs are placed first and ensuring things are done to the highest standards.

“I’ve already met many of the project teams, so I’m looking forward to getting started.”

A 55-year-old father of two engineer sons, Rob was born in Bristol and currently lives in Weston-super-Mare.

He is now a Chartered member of the Institute of Builders, having left school at 16 before spending several years on the tools as an apprentice coldstore builder, then moving into installations supervision and management roles.

Adam Teague said: “Rob knows the industry back to front and inside out – he’s well known to our labour company and at our management level, too. It’s great to have him on board and a real privilege for ISD to be offering his services for the benefits of our customers.

“This is a niche industry. It’s hard to find people with the right expertise and experience and, especially with the type of projects Rob’s going to be involved in, it’s important that we appoint personnel who can hit the ground running.

“Rob’s seen many changes over the years, not necessarily in the methods of construction but certainly in our industry’s design capabilities, as well as major improvements in health and safety.

“He’s highly experienced and capable, so it’s great to have him on board.”

ISD Solutions is part of Gloucester-based The P & M Group, which includes PLG Insulations, a division in Australia and Midlands-based installations specialists S Tysoe Installations. Together the companies employ more than 190 staff, with a combined turnover of around £70m.
