Iveco to sell electric and fuel trucks

Turin, Italy: Iveco has bought the German joint venture company Nikola Iveco Europe and will now sell its heavy-duty electric trucks and fuel cell electric trucks under the Iveco brand.

Iveco’s electric trucks use an electric axle, Proterra batteries, and fuel cell technology by Bosch on the Iveco S-Way truck platform redesigned to be capable of supporting fuel cell and battery technology.

The Iveco HD BEV has a range of up to 500km from its 738kWh batteries. The 4×2 will be the first to enter the European market in the last quarter of 2023. The Iveco HD FCEV has a range of up to 800km. from its hydrogen 70kg tank with a refuelling time of under 20 minutes. It is aimed at the long haul market.

The first Iveco hydrogen tractor will be delivered in France, Switzerland and Germany at end of 2023. Both vehicles are produced in the Iveco’s Ulm factory.
