Krone Cool Liner celebrates 25 years

Werlte, Germany: Krone launched its first refrigerated trailer in 1996 and to mark the 25th anniversary a special Edition of the trailer is being launched.

Krone’s first refrigerated trailer was a collaboration with US trailer builder Wabash which supplied the refrigerated boxes.

When imports were no longer profitable due to an increasingly strong dollar, Krone took over Danish company Norfrig to sell Cool Liners with GRP top layers.

In 2007, to meet demand for Cool Liners, Krone built a new production line in Lübtheen, Germany making refrigerated trailers with steel decks.

In 2014, Krone introduced the Krone trailer axle for the Cool Liner and in 2016 launched Isowall plus, which can be moved in the load compartment to allow multi temperature trailers.

In 1996, Krone introduced the first refrigerated trailer under the product name Krone-Wabash

2018 saw a double-decker version including telematics and in the following year, Krone presented the Celsineo fridge, a modular refrigeration unit made in cooperation with Liebherr.

The 25-Year Edition comes with numerous updates as standard equipment such as with Krone Telematics, new lighting concept, a new door seal, new impact protection kit. To mark the anniversary of the Cool Liner, Krone is launching an exclusively labelled 25-Years-Edition with an enhanced equipment package at “attractive” prices.
