Leman expands pharma warehouse capacity

Greve, Denmark: International freight forwarding and logistics company Leman is expanding its pharmaceutical warehousing capacity in Greve.

In collaboration with two of the company’s pharmaceutical customers, capacity has expanded to enable Leman to offer more services. As well as offering storage at +15-25 degrees, Leman can now provide storage of active substances (API) down to -20 degrees, while the storage area at + 2-8 degrees has been upgraded to a closed cold chain.

”For a number of years, we have invested heavily in the pharma segment, so I am pleased that we can now offer our customers even better solutions and grow with them,” says Thomas Krøyer, group chief executive at Leman.

The two customers are the global pharmaceutical companies, Xellia Pharmaceuticals, and Dechra Veterinary Products – both have recently signed new contracts with Leman.

”We are expecting strong growth in the years to come. This places great demands on logistics, and it is important that we have a supply chain partner who can act quickly and keep up, as we scale up globally, ” says Anders Rasmussen, senior logistics manager at Dechra.

Leman distributes pharmaceutical products, including clinical trials and active substances to ready-made pharmaceuticals.
