Novi, Michigan, USA: Lineage Logistics is expanding in Canada with the acquisition of Ontario-based VersaCold Logistics.
Lineage acquired VersaCold from TorQuest Partners and its partners, the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario and OPTrust.
“Our acquisition of VersaCold represents yet another milestone and an important broadening of our business in Canada,” said Greg Lehmkuhl, president and chief executive of Lineage Logistics.
VersaCold has 24 temperature-controlled warehouses with 114 million cubic feet of storage and capacity for 361,000 pallets, Lineage said.
Lehmkuhl said Lineage plans to expand capacity at refrigerated warehouses in key Canadian markets.
In 2021, Lineage acquired a number of temperature-controlled logistics companies, including Auscold Logistics in Australia, Kantaro in Italy, Claus Sørensen in Denmark, Kloosterboer and UTI Forwarding in the Netherlands, Hanson Logistics in the US, and Frigorificos de Navarra in Spain.
