Logistics Scotland conference

Falkirk, Scotland: The second annual Logistics Scotland Conference organised by the FTA takes place at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel in Falkirk on 7 May.

Content for the one-day event includes operational and strategic presentations on all modes of transport across Scotland, and will focus on key issues affecting the logistics industry including future workforce challenges, sustainability, movement of goods specifically between Scotland and Northern Ireland and modal shifts for goods between road and rail, to maximise benefit for shippers and operators.

There will also be a briefing on the impact of the Conference of the Parties on the day to day Scottish network. “Increasingly, Scotland’s economy is dependent on the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and services, connecting the nation’s businesses both domestically and overseas,” says Mags Simpson, policy manager for Scotland, FTA.

“With so much economic change affecting the way we do business, it is vital that the logistics sector is kept up to speed with the latest developments and has the opportunity to debate the issues affecting the sector’s future successes.

“The Logistics Scotland Conference will provide the ideal opportunity for operators in all modes and sizes to come together and debate the topics which will shape our industry moving forwards – it’s an event not to be missed.”

Tickets for the FTA Logistics Scotland Conference are now available at https://fta.co.uk/ls20, priced at £295 for FTA members or £350 for non-members.
