Warsaw, Poland: NewCold is building a €112m temperature-controlled warehouse in Nowy Modlin, near Warsaw and expanding its existing automated site in Kutno to double capacity to 57,600 pallet positions. The new warehouse outside Warsaw will add 94,600 pallet positions, bringing NewCold’s total capacity in Poland to 207,200 pallet positions.
“We are growing in Poland, in Europe, and globally because we’ve had the foresight to envision a future-proof food supply chain. From modern energy solutions that counter rising electricity and water costs, leveraging automation and robotics for increased efficiency and accuracy, to overcoming logistics challenges by linking an expanding transport network to strategically located large-scale warehouse,” said Roberto Alessio, vice president, business and growth, Eastern Europe.
“All of this is powered by NewCold proprietary software that integrates seamlessly with our customers’ ERP systems. It means we can offer the visibility, traceability, and scalability they need,” he said.
