Oakland International Appoints Luke Attwell as MD to Drive Next Phase of Supply Chain Growth

Multi-temperature supply chain specialist Oakland International has appointed Luke Attwell as Managing Director of Green Clover Developments Ltd (GCD), a separate but closely aligned business, as part of a refined operational structure to support continued growth.

The move reflects a clear distinction between two specialist areas: Contract Logistics delivered across the wider Oakland International network, and Specialist Supply Chain Services operated through GCD at its Redditch site.

Luke brings more than 12 years’ experience within the wider Oakland business, having progressed through operational, commercial and strategic roles. His track record includes launching Oakland’s in-house vehicle fleet as Group Distribution Manager, leading major operational transitions as Depot Manager, and most recently delivering innovation, customer implementations and technology-led improvements.

The Redditch operation, employing around 300 people, has evolved into a hub for high-service, value-added solutions, including direct-to-consumer fulfilment, B2B operations and specialist contract packing. It also plays a central role in Oakland’s Food Park vision and its support for emerging food brands.

In his new role, Luke will lead all aspects of the Redditch site, focusing on operational performance, service development and long-term growth.

Oakland International Group CEO Shaun Foley commented: “As a family business, having family leadership remains incredibly important to us, not only in preserving the values and culture the business was built upon, but also in maintaining the long-term perspective and relationships that define our approach.

“While GCD operates as a separate business, it remains closely aligned to our broader vision, and having progressed through multiple operational roles, Luke brings both a practical understanding of the operation and a clear vision for its future development.”

The appointment comes as Oakland enters a new phase of development, with a focus on enhancing operational agility, expanding service capability and delivering scalable solutions for both established and high-growth food brands.

Shaun added: “This next chapter is about building on strong foundations whilst continuing to innovate and evolve alongside our customers’ changing needs.”

The move reinforces a long-term commitment to investing in innovation, infrastructure and specialist capabilities, further strengthening the Redditch operation’s role within increasingly complex supply chains.

Luke, commenting on his appointment stated: “This is an exciting time for the business as we continue to evolve our operational capabilities and expand our specialist service offering.

“The Redditch operation has a strong platform for growth, and I look forward to working with the team to build scalable, innovative solutions that support both established and emerging food brands.”
