Redditch, UK: Oakland International has made it into Insider’s Growth 100 index, which ranks 100 of the fastest-growing companies in the Midlands.
Oakland, which expects the group’s businesses to surpass £100m turnover by the end of 2022, says that it will maintain margin through initiatives such as robotics, process re-engineering, investments in renewable energy and improved energy efficiency, waste reduction and transport optimisation.
Oakland International group chief executive Dean Attwell said: “We are delighted to be recognised as a Top 100 growth business in the Midlands. Oakland has invested heavily in new facilities and new channels of distribution including internet fulfilment which has delivered strong growth during the pandemic especially.
“Our core business has grown substantially over the years with customers tuning into the opportunities of a single-source solution for multi-temperature and multi-channel supply chain,” he said.
With companies on the list described as remarkable, resilient and reliable, Oakland International is ranked 92nd with 18.84% compound annual growth, a turnover of £38.2m and pre-tax profit of £2.4m.
“Oakland is positioned for further rapid growth in the UK and Ireland through core business models and new initiatives which are intentionally disruptive in the business-to-business multi-temperature parcel delivery arena,” Attwell said.
The criteria for appearing on the list includes companies that have a registered office in the region and have increased turnover by more than 18% annually over a four-year period.
