Post-Brexit goods inspection site completed at Harwich Port

Harwich, UK: A new inspection site at Harwich International Port for post-Brexit checks on fresh produce has been completed.

The new building, including a cold store to handle ambient, chilled, or frozen goods, provides loading bays and inspection rooms as part of new border control checks on fresh produce and plants following changes brought about by Brexit.

The site at Harwich also includes a new exit road which allows freight to access the site and then exit directly on to the A120, designed to reduce freight congestion and allowing for free-flowing traffic.
