RHA urges government to continue fuel duty freeze

Liverpool, UK: The Road Haulage Association team met small business minister Gareth Thomas at the Labour Party conference this week to stress the importance of continuing the fuel duty freeze in the Budget to support hauliers.

The RHA said it had also had “productive conversations” with Chancellor Rachel Reeves, Treasury minister Darren Jones, skills minister Jacqui Smith and net- zero minister Ed Miliband.

The RHA also led a roundtable discussion at the conference on how the Skills and Growth levy can unlock green skills to “future-proof supply chains”.
