StoreLogs and GreenChill Systems Demonstrate Scalable CO₂ Reductions in Refrigerated Trailer Trial

StoreLogs has announced the successful completion of a collaborative trial with GreenChill Systems, showcasing measurable carbon savings through the use of innovative refrigeration technology on temperature-controlled trailers.

The trial delivered clear reductions in CO₂ emissions under real-world operating conditions, reinforcing the potential of the system to drive meaningful environmental impact. When measured at trailer level and scaled across a full fleet, the results indicate significant annual carbon savings, providing a tangible route towards lower-emission logistics operations.

Beyond carbon reduction, the trial highlighted further benefits across the supply chain. Lower emissions contribute to improved air quality for depot staff, quieter and more efficient working conditions for drivers, and a reduced environmental footprint within local communities.

Crucially, the system demonstrated that sustainability can be achieved without compromising operational performance. It maintained 100% uptime throughout the trial thanks to integrated diesel backup, while also proving capable of handling demanding and long-distance distribution routes. Its retrofit capability enables integration into existing trailers, offering a scalable and cost-effective solution without the need for full fleet replacement.

Mark Coventry, Logistics Director at StoreLogs, said:

“This trial has shown that reducing carbon emissions doesn’t have to mean sacrificing reliability or performance. Working with GreenChill Systems, we’ve been able to validate a solution that not only delivers measurable CO₂ savings but can also be realistically scaled across our operations. It’s an exciting step forward in our journey towards more sustainable logistics.”

Fiona Cropper, Managing Director of GreenChill Systems, said:

“We are delighted to have partnered with StoreLogs on this successful trial. The results demonstrate that operators do not have to choose between sustainability and operational performance. Our Solar-Electric System has delivered measurable carbon savings while maintaining the reliability and flexibility required for demanding cold chain operations. We look forward to continuing to support StoreLogs as it progresses its sustainability journey and works towards achieving significant long-term emissions reductions.”

StoreLogs continues to invest in innovative partnerships and technologies that support both operational excellence and long-term environmental responsibility, as part of its commitment to driving forward more sustainable supply chain solutions.
