Leatherhead, UK: Sunswap has shown its first production version of Endurance, its emission-free truck and trailer refrigeration system.
The Endurance unit represents a significant milestone for Sunswap, as it moves from 30 trials to full-scale production with units on the road, the company said.
Delivered to DFDS, this production model is expected to be operational on roads within weeks.
Endurance combines advanced battery technology and trailer-top solar power that can provide power to extend the range of the electric fridge and reduce grid charging. These innovations enable significant reductions in operating costs and environmental impact without compromising on performance or reliability, Sunswap says.
Sunswap was named Refrigerated Transport Manufacturer of the Year 2024 at the TCS&D Awards. Sunswap was also the first headline sponsor of the Awards.
